The historical state rooms in the castle, which have been preserved in their original state, the pittoresque inner courtyard and the romantic castle park will inspire you as a wedding location. A wedding ceremony on the meadow on the opposite shore of the lake under a beautiful pavilion, a subsequent boat trip across the pond symbolising the new path of life together and the agape under the ancient, mighty trees - it almost doesn't get more romantic than that.

Viewing appointments
Every wedding is a very individual event. That's why we're happy to advise you personally by appointment and show you our pittoresque location during a guided tour of the castle and park.
The castle is a historical jewel with a modern guest annexe in the middle of the black pine forests. The state rooms and the surrounding nature are perfect backdrops for your wedding pictures. Not only the interiors, but also the English neo-gothic exterior façade of the castle or the extensive park with a pond in which the castle is reflected, offer a variety of scenes for stylish photographs.
In total, the Hotel Schloss Hernstein has 71 air-conditioned, modernly equipped rooms and 3 suites. All rooms and suites were carefully renovated in 2022, redesigned and adapted to the requirements of today while still preserving the historic character. The castle suite is available to the future bride and groom upon request.
From a small 15-person wedding in our in-house chapel to a 100-person wedding with a unforgettable night-do, from a simply decorated function room to magnificent decorations, from a small buffet to a large food selection - the possibilities are manifold. Our wedding at Schloss Hernstein was an exuberant and carefree celebration for us and our guests, which we were able to enjoy to the fullest!
Ms. Fassl and her team have supported us from the start with the planning and have been on hand with suggestions when we needed help. Our wish to hold a completely vegan wedding was also taken into account without any problems and a menu tailored to our needs was conjured up. On the wedding day, the entire team took care of our needs and made sure that everyone was in the right place at the right time and that all aspects of the wedding ran smoothly. Thanks to the comprehensive care provided by Ms. Fassl and her team, we were able to concentrate fully on the wedding and enjoy the day to the fullest. We would celebrate our wedding again at any time at Hernstein Castle with its dreamlike scenery.

On 6th of september 2020 we had our dream wedding at Schloss Hernstein! Thanks to the comprehensive and flexible offers, we were able to customise our wedding so that the day became the most beautiful of our lives. From the first to the last day and also on the day of the wedding, we were guided by the competent and attentive staff. All our many questions were answered immediately and in a way that provided solutions, making the cooperation with the team perfect all around!

What made us so enthusiastic was the dedicated team, which quickly had a suitable solution for every problem. No matter if at the rehearsal dinner or on the day of the wedding, when we were really looking forward to the boat trip and the weather was not ideal for it. Ms. Fassl stood by us from the 1st viewing to our big day with words and deeds. Also at the wedding itself, she and the team made sure that everything was in the right place at the right time. So we could celebrate without any worries and had, as our guests confirmed, a perfectly organized celebration at Hernstein Castle.
